Rules & Regulations

The Rules & Regulations for Alabama’s entertainment incentive program have been adopted. Please review the full document below and consult your legal or tax advisors to understand how they apply to your project.

Alabama Immigration Compliance

Alabama law requires all employers operating within the state to comply with immigration verification requirements. Compliance is mandatory for participation in the Alabama Entertainment Incentive Program.

  • The Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act (Act No. 2011-535) took effect April 1, 2012.
  • The law requires all employers in Alabama to verify the legal presence of employees in the United States.
  • The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency operates the E-Verify Employer Agent Office, which assists employers with compliance.

Failure to comply with this law means your company cannot receive state incentives and may be subject to penalties.
